Hvorfor dette bruksområdet

A sleeping bot is a useless bot

A Discord bot hosted on your PC goes to sleep with it. On free platforms, it shares a CPU with hundreds of other processes and hibernates after a few idle minutes — your slash commands then take 5 seconds to respond, when they respond at all. A moderation or ticket bot must answer within 3 seconds, or Discord invalidates the interaction.

Reliability before power

A Discord bot uses little: 150 to 500 MB of RAM, one vCore is plenty. What matters is availability. Our measured 99.99% uptime means your bot stays online 364 days a year — and our monitoring restarts the hypervisor before you even notice anything.

PM2 or Docker so you never lose a process

pm2 start bot.js --name my-bot
pm2 startup && pm2 save

Two commands, and your bot restarts itself after a crash or reboot. Add pm2 logs and you have complete visibility. More advanced teams containerize with Docker to deploy via git push — our guides cover both approaches.

From Gateway intents to shards

Under 2,000 Discord servers, an Apex handles any bot — including with an embedded SQLite or Redis database. Beyond that, Discord enforces sharding: a Titan with 16 GB of RAM comfortably absorbs a dozen shards. NVMe Gen4 accelerates data-heavy bots (moderation logs, economy systems, voice transcription).

Kom raskt i gang

  1. 1Deploy an Apex with Ubuntu 24.04.
  2. 2Install Node.js 22 LTS via NodeSource, then PM2.
  3. 3Clone your bot, `npm install`, configure the token in a .env file.
  4. 4Launch with PM2 and enable automatic restart.
  5. 5Set up an alert webhook to an admin channel.
