NVMe
Storage protocol designed for flash memory, using PCI Express directly instead of the SATA legacy. Divides latency by ten compared to classic SATA SSDs.
NVMe Gen4
Fourth generation of the PCIe link for storage: up to 7 GB/s reads and over one million IOPS — double Gen3.
IOPS
Input/output operations per second. Key metric for databases: the higher the IOPS, the faster random reads/writes.
KVM
Kernel-based Virtual Machine: the hardware virtualization built into the Linux kernel that we use. Complete isolation, access to modern CPU instructions (AVX-512), no slow software layer.
Hyperviseur
Software hosting several VPS on a physical server. With us, hypervisors are never oversold: sold resources are guaranteed.
Bande passante
Maximum throughput of your VPS network link — 10 Gbps with us, i.e. 1.25 GB/s theoretical. Beware of "unlimited" offers on 100 shared Mbps elsewhere.
Latence (ping)
Round-trip time of a network packet, in milliseconds. Critical for gaming, trading and real-time applications. 4 ms between Paris and our PAR-1 site.
Attaque DDoS
Deliberate saturation of a server by a packet flood. Our in-house three-layer mitigation absorbs attacks in under a second.
Peering
Direct interconnection between networks at an exchange point (IX). The more peerings a host has, the shorter paths your traffic takes. We maintain 1,400+.
IX (Internet Exchange)
Exchange point where networks interconnect: DE-CIX (Frankfurt), France-IX (Paris), AMS-IX, LINX, NYIIX, SGIX. We're present at all six.

Full administrator control of your server: install any software, modify the kernel, configure networking. Included in all our plans.
IPv4 dédiée
IP address exclusive to your VPS, no sharing: clean reputation for email sending and whitelisting APIs. Included in every plan.

Reverse proxy

TTFB
Time To First Byte: time before the first response byte. The web's queen metric — under 200 ms on a well-hosted WordPress.
WireGuard
Modern VPN built into the Linux kernel: 4,000 lines of code, ChaCha20, 900+ Mbps on our VPS. OpenVPN's official successor.
Fail2ban
Tool that automatically bans IPs after repeated authentication failures (SSH, mail, web). First line of defense for an exposed VPS.
UFW
Uncomplicated Firewall: simple iptables/nftables interface on Ubuntu. `ufw allow 22/tcp` and you're done.
CDN
Content Delivery Network: geographically distributed caches for your static assets. An ideal complement to a well-placed VPS, not a substitute.
RGPD / GDPR
European personal data regulation. Hosting in the EU (Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam) simplifies compliance — no transfers outside the EU.
RAID
