FiveM: the most demanding mainstream gaming server
A serious GTA RP server isn't just a game server: it's a persistent simulation with hundreds of Lua scripts, a constantly queried MySQL database (inventories, vehicles, jobs) and 64 to 256 simultaneous players. Every badly optimized script adds milliseconds to the server frame time; every slow SQL query freezes a player's inventory at the worst moment.
CPU frequency, again and again
FiveM runs on a main thread. A high-density EPYC doesn't help: what matters is GHz. Our Ryzen 9 at 5.7 GHz offers the highest frequency available in VPS hosting — on RP servers with 200+ scripts, it's the difference between a stable 8 ms frame time and micro-freezes at every busy intersection.
MySQL on NVMe Gen4
oxmysql executes hundreds of queries per minute. On NVMe Gen4, even mass saves (100 players disconnecting after an event) pass without noticeable lag. Set innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=2 and the buffer pool to 4-8 GB: your RP database flies.
Anti-DDoS: vital in RP
The French-speaking GTA RP scene is notoriously targeted by attacks — server wars, extortion attempts. Our protection absorbs UDP floods and FiveM protocol attacks (fake ENet handshakes) with no third-party proxy: no added latency, no inflated "ping" that would drive your players away. In 2024, our system held an 11-day campaign against a customer RP server with no visible interruption.
Scale up progressively
Start on Titan (16 GB, 8 vCore) for 64-128 slots with reasonable scripts; move to Quantum as the community grows — the upgrade is hot, without reinstalling your scripts or losing your database.
